Il Giardino located inside Iberotel, just opposite Cairo International Airport invites you to explore the taste of traditional Italian cuisine without leaving Cairo.

Entering the venue, you’ll understand straight away why the restaurant was named in such a way: located in the garden, surrounded by trees and facing the pool, the venue impresses with its peace and tranquility; whereas its long rows of neatly organized white tables, the glimmering candles and the soft tunes of the melodious guitar make the place suitable for various types of diners: couples, families and friends.

Once seated, your waiter will treat you to the traditional Italian bread (straight from the oven), and while you will be savoring the amazing taste of this simple creation, you’ll have the chance to go through the offerings of the venue’s grand menu. Proudly displaying dishes able to satisfy every taste (poultry, meat, seafood and vegetarian items are in abundance), Il Giardino presents you with excellent food without damaging your pocket.

Start your meal with the famous Carpaccio (fine slices of beef served with garlic bread and parmesan cream on rocket salad) or Crostini al Salmone (oven toasted bread topped with mozzarella, smoked salmon and tomato basil sauce). Go on and treat yourself to a portion of warm soup (if it is not too hot outside), like Minestrone alla Toscana (vegetable soup, Tuscany style) or the palatable Tortellini in Brodo (tortellini pasta in beef broth). Then, if you are here for pasta and pizza, try out Al Frutti di Mare Pasta (a tantalizing mixture of fresh seafood and Napolitano sauce) or the Pizza Quattro Stagioni (artichoke hearts, smoked beef, mushroom, shrimp, olives, capers, oregano, basil and olive oil), but bear in mind that the menu lists many other delicious dishes waiting to be savored.

Among these it is definitely recommended to try the Pollo al Formaggio (juicy baby chicken stuffed with vita cheese and served with mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce) or the grilled Salmone con Aglio e Limone (brought to you with grilled vegetables and fried polenta).

The desserts are a separate story, and though the menu cannot boast with their wide selection, it can surely charm you with the symphony of their taste:  Tiramisu and Cascata Il Giardino are undoubtedly worth trying out.

The service is helpful and attentive, making the venue even more appealing; so Il Giardino will be on our top list whenever we feel like eating out in this area.
