Looking for a luxurious experience? Want to try the taste of delicacy? Craving to let go of routine dining? Oak Grill, the newly opened restaurant at Conrad Cairo, should be your ultimate choice.

Stunning was the entrance, featuring dim lights created by glimmering candles in exquisite red glasses, taking our breath away from the first step. Our amazement grew bigger noticing mosaic walls, marble floors and glass shelves displaying different spices, vegetables and herbs. The décor did not disappoint either, playing on the combination of modern and classy styles. The fusion of various materials created a symphony of elegance and refinement: leather chairs, dark wood furniture and mirror walls expanded the space, putting us just in the write mood and adding more relaxation to our incredible evening.

While we were sipping our fresh cocktails and enjoying this pleasurable atmosphere, we could actually have a peak on the restaurant’s open kitchen, which revealed the secret of perfection. To tease our appetite they offered us Amuse-bouche (a welcoming zucchini soup) with hot and crispy bread brought directly from their oven.  As for the starter, we chose Oak Smoked Salmon and Gravlax (house cured salmon fillet), which filled up our senses. And even though the temptation was hard to resist, we insisted on trying the restaurant’s award winning dish – Smoked Tomato Soup – that was really worth a try.

The menu had an appealing selection of American, Australian and Egyptian grilled meat prepared in their own oak-smoker, the first of its kind in Egypt; but as we are seafood lovers the waiter recommended for us Line Caught Wild Sea Bass Fillet and Smoked Roasted Norwegian Salmon Fillet along with Truffle Mashed Potatoes as a side dish. The presentation of the food was the conclusion of the masterful play with colors resulting in simple, fashionable and colorful dishes.

It was the time to end our outstanding night out but not without a sweet treat. Chef Nicolas Beau tantalized our taste buds by offering us the must have dessert Crêpe and Vanilla Ice-Cream toped with juicy berries sauce.

To sum it up: this flawless place is ideal for relaxation and enjoyment of ambience’s serenity. Those, who are looking for a memorable romantic night, Oak Grill is just the place to visit.
